Dr. Shaoqing Sun

Founder & President

Dr. S Qing Sun founded C&C Reservoirs in January 1995 where he currently holds the position of President. At its inception, the company had a vision to create a global analog knowledge system that would help E&P companies to reduce their exploration risk, optimize their field development options and improve their reservoir management. Before founding C&C Reservoirs, Dr. Sun was hired by Chevron as a consultant, assisting with their internal Global Carbonate Fields Database project from 1994-1995. From 1990-1994, Dr. Sun held senior geoscientist and project manager positions with Petroleum Information. Dr. Sun received a PhD in Reservoir Geology from Reading University, UK and a BS in Petroleum Geology from Northeast Petroleum University, China.

Peter Bernard

Executive Chairman

Mr. Bernard has served as a member of the Board since September 2014. Mr. Bernard has also served on the Board of Directors for US Silica and as a consultant to Warburg Pincus since June 2014. In addition, Mr. Bernard has served as Chairman of Tendeka since January 2011; as a consultant to Kenda Capital, since September 2010; and as managing member and owner of Pinion Energy Consulting, LLC, since July 2009. From October 2010 until November 2014, Mr. Bernard served as Executive Chairman of ZEiTECS. Mr. Bernard served in various roles of increasing responsibility and seniority at Halliburton Company until his retirement in December 2008, including as a member of the Executive Committee from 2007 until December 2008 and as Senior Vice President of Business Development and Marketing from 2006 to April 2008. Additionally, Mr. Bernard served as Vice President and Global Account Executive for Royal Dutch Shell from 2003 to 2004 and President and CEO of Landmark Graphics from 2004 to 2006. Mr. Bernard received his BS in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Laura Schwinn

Chief Executive Officer

Ms. Schwinn joined the company in 2014 as Chief Executive Officer, bringing over 25 years of global operations and board experience in the oil and gas, industrial and software technology Industries. Ms. Schwinn has a breadth of experience in an array of operating environments in domestic and international markets with specific experience leading shareholder value creation, long term strategic repositioning, operational excellence, health and safety, software development, manufacturing, private equity, restructuring and acquisitions/divestitures. Before joining C&C Reservoirs, Ms. Schwinn served as Global Vice President for Halliburton, responsible for the Drill Bits and Services Product Service Line from 2010 – 2013, with Manufacturing, Technology and Operations in over 50 countries. From 2002 – 2010, Ms. Schwinn held a number of senior operational leadership positions at Halliburton in the UK, Canada and USA in Drilling and Evaluation Division and Landmark Software and Service Division. Prior to joining Halliburton, Ms. Schwinn held a number of business development and sales positions with Schlumberger in the Geoquest Business in the UK, Indonesia and Venezuela. Ms. Schwinn received a Bachelor of Commerce in International Business and Finance from the University of Victoria, Canada.

James Faroppa

Chief Geoscientist and SVP Services

Mr. Faroppa joined the company in 2016 as Chief Geoscientist and SVP Services. Mr. Faroppa brings over 20 years of operator experience and has worked on a broad range of geological plays, basins and countries, from onshore unconventional to deep-water oil and gas discoveries. Before joining C&C Reservoirs, Mr. Faroppa served as VP Geosciences for Murphy Oil, responsible for assurance, portfolio management, specialist services and technical excellence. Previously, Mr. Faroppa worked for Kosmos Energy as VP Sub-Saharan Africa and for BG Group. Helping to find and deliver the pre-salt discoveries in Brazil was a highlight of his time in BG, which culminated with roles as Chief Technology Officer and Chief Geophysicist. Mr. Faroppa has degrees from Southampton University (B.Sc. Geophysics), Royal Holloway (M.Sc. Basin Evolution and Dynamics) and Duke University (M.B.A).

Mike Eyre

Chief Commercial Officer

Mr. Eyre joined the company in 2015 as Chief Commercial Officer. Before joining C&C Reservoirs, Mr. Eyre served as Regional General Manager for the Americas for CGG GeoSoftware, responsible for sales, marketing and operations from 2012-2015. Mr. Eyre also held the role of Global Sales Manager from 2011-2012 for Fugro-Jason, acquired by CGG in 2013. Previously, from 2003 to 2011, Mr. Eyre founded and led Apollo Sales & Marketing Group, a marketing consulting company that focused on high-growth customers with a large number of Oil & Gas technology companies as clients. Prior to Apollo, Mike held positions with i2, Cardonet, Excara, Quad and UCS. Mr. Eyre received his BS in Economics from the University of Houston.

Stephanie Meynard

SVP of Strategic Resources

Ms. Meynard joined the company in 2015 as Vice President of Solutions. Before joining C&C Reservoirs, Ms. Meynard most recently served as Director for Halliburton, responsible for their global IT Project Management Office, IT integration of Mergers & Acquisitions and Organizational Change Management. From 2011 - mid 2015 Ms. Meynard was Director of Western Hemisphere IT Operations, Global IT Real Time Operations and Global Mobility with teams in the U.S., Canada, Latin America and Singapore. Previously, Ms. Meynard held a number of senior management positions during her 20 years at Halliburton within the Information Technology organization with global responsibly for the Order to Cash vertical of their ERP system, Business Process Optimization strategy and projects and the Global Service Center. Ms. Meynard received her BS in Business Education with a focus in computer science, accounting and economics from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now named University of Louisiana at Lafayette).

Rich Dodds

VP of Marketing & Product Management

Mr. Dodds joined the company in 2014 as Vice President of Marketing & Product Management. Before joining C&C Reservoirs, Mr. Dodds served as Senior Director of Marketing for Key Energy Services from 2012-2014. From 2005-2012 Mr. Dodds held a variety of positons with Halliburton in the Landmark Software division and with corporate strategy. Prior to joining Halliburton Mr. Dodds held product management roles with Compaq Computer and Hewlett-Packard. Mr. Dodds received an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas.

Karl Zachry

VP of Technology

Mr. Zachry joined the company in April 2015 as Vice President of Technology. Before joining C&C Reservoirs, Mr. Zachry served as Vice President of R&D at LMKR; Director of Software Development at Seismic Micro-Technology (purchased by IHS in 2011); Enterprise Architect for Software Development at Halliburton, and a wide variety of roles in Landmark Graphics from 1990 through 2005. Mr. Zachry received an MBA from University of Phoenix Online and a BS in Geophysical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.

Rena Yan

VP of Special Projects

Ms. Yan joined the company in 2001, initially involved in transferring the DAKS system from an Intranet system to a web-based Internet system, and was subsequently promoted to System Support Manager in 2002. She provides IT support to clients all over the globe as well as coordinates product assembly and releases for the DAKS system. Before joining C&C Reservoirs, Ms. Yan served as Regional Manager for China for Hong Kong Novel Industry Limited. Ms. Yan received her BS in Mathematics from Nankai University, China and received her MS in Economics from Renmin University, China.
