For immediate release, April 1, 2008 - C&C Reservoirs is pleased to announce the release of its new study on Exploration in Fold and Thrust Belts (FTBs). The study provides systematic reviews of structure, stratigraphy and petroleum systems in 33 Fold and Thrust belts around the world. Success in exploration for the FTBs is extremely variable. Therefore the review provides invaluable analog information to assist in exploration strategies worldwide. Each FTB summary follows a standard format for easy navigation through the text and for straightforward analog comparison.

A synthesis of all the FTBs reviewed compares and contrasts the primary features of the FTBs in terms of classification system, petroleum systems and factors common to prolific FTBs. Tectonic fracturing, a critical factor in commercial productivity, is discussed in detail and data covering exploration status, structure, source rocks, reservoirs, seals, traps, reserves, plays and success factors are displayed in tabular format.

The study is fully integrated into the C&C Reservoirs DAKS environment, enabling quick comparison between FTBs and field examples.
